What does Reiki feel like?
Everyone experiences Reiki differently. Some people report feeling wave like sensations, tingling, or even hot or cold spots in the areas being treated. Others do not feel any physical sensations at all. Some experience emotional reactions (which is totally natural and nothing at all to be ashamed of), while others simply fall into a deep sense of relaxation. You do not have to feel anything in particular or at all for Reiki to work for you. Most people walk away with a sense of lightness and clarity.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
You don’t have to do anything to prepare. You only need to show up with an open mind and be willing to receive the Reiki from you practitioner. If you have specific issues you would like to work on it can be helpful to give some intentional thought to them before your appointment. After your session it is recommended that you pay attention to any shifts that occur to your thoughts, emotional state, or physical body. Be sure to stay hydrated and if you have any questions at all do not hesitate to reach out. You will likely receive more home care suggestions based on your individual needs.
How can Reiki help me?
There are many ways that Reiki can enhance your overall wellness. Decreased stress levels, anxiety, or feelings of insecurity are all common reasons to seek treatment. Many clients report that their patterns of negative self-talk lessen and that they are better able to handle stressful situations. Reiki can also improve focus and sleep quality. This helps to restore balance within your mind and body. It’s also a fantastic way to strengthen your intuition and spiritual practices. Like all healing modalities, the work you put in on your end will affect how long these benefits will take to achieve and/or last between sessions.
